Join the Space Crew

It takes over 500 dedicated Space Crew volunteers to ensure all of the Space Force T-Minus 10-Miler events take off without a hitch! Our Space Crew volunteers make this possible by giving their time with pre-race set-up, endless support during race weekend, and with post-race clean-up. There are opportunities for individuals and groups to help with shirt and packet pick-up at the Health & Fitness Expo, distributing water cups on race day, gear check, supporting the start and finish lines, and so much more!

Volunteer Benefits

  • Complimentary Space Crew T-Shirt
  • Complimentary Refreshments for Expo & Race Day Volunteers
  • Joining one of the best volunteer communities in the nation!

Frequently Asked Questions

Just like a space station needs a space crew, our volunteers are the backbone of the Space Force T-Minus 10-Miler. Without our 500+ volunteers we would not be able to support our runners through assisting with pre-race set-up, volunteers provide endless support in a multitude of roles on race weekend and help with post-race clean-up. Volunteers also motivate our runners along the way as they achieve a HUGE accomplishment!
Of course! We welcome help from all community members that are interested in supporting the Space Force T-Minus 10-Miler whether military or civilian.
Individual volunteers must be 16 years or older. Volunteers under the age of 16 must volunteer with a parent, guardian, or trusted adult.
Volunteer shift times vary for each opportunity but most require a commitment of 4 hours or less. We have shifts for both early-risers and for night owls.
All volunteers will receive a complimentary Space Crew T-shirt to wear during their volunteer shift. Most volunteer opportunities will occur outside during race weekend and it is recommended to dress in layers with comfortable shoes. Our event will go on rain or shine so make sure you are prepared for changing weather conditions.
